Get in touch
Call (910) 679-0440 or send an email to info@wilmingtonbilingualpreschool.com. Tell us your child's age and the days you need. From there we will send you a registration packet and answer what you ask.

Tour the room
Come see the classroom your child would join. You will meet the teachers who run that room. Bring your questions about the day, the meals and pickup. Ask us anything, then take your time deciding.

Enroll and settle in
Send back the registration packet and we will plan a first week that suits your child's routine. Tell us how your child naps and eats so we can follow it. You can ask the teacher how the first days went when you pick up.
What to have ready
Most families bring an enrollment form, a health form and an up-to-date immunization record. We also need emergency contacts and the names of the people allowed to pick your child up. Ask us for the current packet and we will walk you through each page.
Pack a full change of clothes, outdoor gear for the season, and nap items if your child rests here. A comfort object from home helps on the first days. Label everything with your child's name so it finds its way back.
Talk with your child about who drops off and who picks up, so the routine is familiar before the first morning. Tell the teacher how you want to hear about the day, whether a quick word at the door or a note. Ask us about drop-off and pickup times for the schedule you chose.
The first weeks
Many children start with shorter days and build up as they get comfortable. A familiar object from home can sit nearby during the first mornings. The teacher greets your child by name at the door and stays close until the room feels known.
At pickup the teacher tells you how your child ate, slept and played, and who they spent time with. Some children settle in within a few days, others take a few weeks. Ask the teacher anything, and tell her what you saw at home so the picture stays whole.

Yes, a tour is the best way to see if our Spanish immersion approach fits your family. You can bring your child along; they can join a classroom activity while you observe.
What should my child bring on the first day?
Most families pack a full change of clothes, a comfort item from home, and a water bottle for the first day. Label everything with your child's name. Ask the teacher what else the room needs.
How do you handle the first weeks?
Most children start with shorter days and build up to a full session as they get comfortable. A familiar object from home, like a small blanket or stuffed animal, can help them feel secure. At pickup, teachers share how your child ate, napped, and played so you know how the day went.
What does a typical day include?
The day is built around arrival, play and learning, meals and rest, outdoor time, then pickup. In Spanish immersion all of it, including play time and eating, happens in Spanish. Our half day runs 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. and our full day is open 8 a. m. to 5:30 p. m., so you can ask which suits your child.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Parents usually hear about the day at pickup and whenever they ask the teacher. If you want more detail, talk with the teacher about how you would like to stay in touch.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have, so ask us what is available for the days you need. We accept applications year round based on availability.
What if there is no place right now?
If your child's age group is full, ask us to let you know when a place opens. There is no date we can promise, so keep in touch with us.
What should I ask on the tour?
Ask about hours, meals, and how drop-off and pickup work. Ask how the first weeks are handled and what the day looks like for your child's age. These answers tell you more than any brochure, so bring your list to the tour.
